iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus Models Expected to Feature 48-Megapixel Wide Cameras: Report

The Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models that will be launched this year have been reported to feature a 48-megapixel primary rear camera sensor with A16 Bionic SoC. Here's what we know so far about the upcoming iPhone release this year.

iPhone 15 Models

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus feature 48MP Wide Cameras means that compared to the iPhone 14 which this feature was exclusive only to the 14 Pro and Pro Max unit, the iPhone 15 non-pro models will get a hold of the upgraded camera without having to purchase the Pro models.

What more benefits will the non-pro model of the upcoming iPhone 15 users enjoy? They will get to enjoy the USB Type-C port instead of a Lightning charging port, and they will enjoy the A16 Bionic chip which is currently available only on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

In a report by 9to5Mac, Jeff Pu of Haitong Intl Tech Research suggests that the iPhone 15 pro models will not only get the same 48-megapixel main camera as the non-pro models but will also get the new second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilization

Further report suggests that Apple is working on 8K video recording support for the next-generation iPhone models. While the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Ultra models are expected to feature an A17 Bionic SoC with solid-state buttons instead of physical volume and power buttons.
