Windows phone has a lot of tricks and tips that we should know. You might be thinking if the phone has cool features, it does have, even advanced ones. Windows phone is a wonderful phone to have. Having know some important features will make you understand your phone and how it works.
One feature of this phone I enjoy most is the ability of the phone to speak messages sent to your phone. It reads it out and even asks if you want it to be repeated or not. Below we will know 10 tricks a window phone can do.
1. Project your screen to your PC or TV
This trick very simple and fast to do, you might not be aware of this. To project your screen to your PC or TV, Select Settings > System > Project My Screen. Your phone will automatically start searching for any devices near you that can take advantage of wireless screen projection.

5. WiFi Sense
This allows you to securely share your WiFi details with friends on Outlook, Facebook, and Skype. Head to Settings > WiFi > WiFi Sense and you can tell your phone to automatically accept terms for use when required. Additionally, under Edit Info, you can tell your Windows Phone to automatically provide a fake name, email address and phone number if you’re concerned about privacy while using a public network. 6. Word Flow
Word Flow is built into Windows Phone 8.1, allowing for fast and accurate shape typing. Instead of typing each letter individually, you can swipe your finger across the letters instead, like that of the awesome keyboards I posted earlier today. Just swipe your hands across the keyboards accurately and you will get your text easily typed. This has already been activated on your windows phone.
7. Set up a mobile VPN
A Virtual Private Network allows for remote secure connections to private networks using a public internet connection. This is an in-built feature for all Windows 8.1 phones. To activate, do the following.
Go to Settings
VPN and tap the plus symbol.
You may need to ask your IT department for your specific VPN settings, which they should be able to supply easily.
8. Set Quiet Hours
To do this, follow the steps below

9. Automatically backup photos & set default camera app
To do this, follow the steps below
Go to Settings
Photos+Camera [you can change your default camera app].
From here you can also ensure that your phone automatically saves your images and videos to the cloud, or turn this feature off/limit it to WiFi only if you’re worried about data usage. So try this wonderful feature
10. Action Centre/customise quick access options
This new Action Centre introduced with Windows Phone 8.1 can be accessed by swiping down from the top of your screen, from there you can customize the list. To do that follow the below instructions
head to Settings
Note: You can change the four shortcuts to whatever you desire. Additionally, you can edit the behaviour of banner alerts as well as app and phone notifications.
