Whatsapp will Soon Start Displaying Ads on Status
Whatsapp messenger will now be able to display Ads on Status. This new feature will not be rolled out yet, but it wouldn't be too long.
Ever since Facebook owner 'Mark' bought Whatsapp, he and his team have been looking for ways to monetize their social media app. Not like it isn't easy to just place Ads on Whatsapp, but they care about their users and doesn't want to display Ads in a way it will 'interrupt your communication'.
So, now they have found a way to insert appropriate Ads on Whatsapp, which is via Status. WhatsApp vice president Chris Daniels has suggested that its status feature could be the place to show those posts.
He also adds that this ad on Whatsapp Status will be the "primary monetization mode for the company", The Economic Times reported Mr. Daniels as saying. It will serve as "an opportunity for businesses to reach people", he said.
Whatsapp will still be a free social media application but will only display Ads on your Status as a means for them to make income from the popular messaging app. This is the best and appropriate way for whatsapp to display Ads to their users compared to interrupting ads like Instagram feed Ads or Facebook.
