3 Phones announced by LG that wouldn't be upgraded to Android Pie until June 2019
LG is always quick in updating their phones to the latest Android version, like LG G7 One and LG G7 ThinQ phones. But it seems that LG wouldn't update their flagships to the latest versions, thereby reducing their quick updates, unlike Sony and Nokia devices.
LG V30, V35, and V40 are expected to get Android Pie within 3 months. According to LG's Update, Android 9 Pie update is planned for Q2 2019 for the LG V40 ThinQ, LG V30 ThinQ, and the LG V35 ThinQ. These Update schedule doesn't really have a specific release date in June 2019, but we can be sure it will be rolling us sooner than later.
As for the kernel sources front, there's a brighter side, LG has already posted kernel sources for the V40’s Android Pie update and the V35’s Android Pie update as well.
These updates for these devices might be on the horizon, and as we know, LG's Yes is always Yes, so we can take them for their word. We should really be expecting the Android Pie updates for these devices earlier June this year, quick updates of android version seems to be drilling down on LG's devices.
