The iPhone 15 is a dual SIM (Nano) smartphone that features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with Ceramic Shield for added protection. Apple has also introduced the Dynamic Island, which was initially seen in the iPhone 14 Pro models last year. The display delivers up to 2000 nits of peak brightness, and the phones have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The iPhone 15 Plus boasts a larger 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display.

Unlike the previous year's models, both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are equipped with a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera featuring a 2um quad-pixel sensor and an f/1.6 aperture. On the front, there's a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera located on the new camera island for selfies and video chats.

Processing Power and Connectivity

Apple's new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are powered by the A16 Bionic chip, the same chipset that drove last year's iPhone 14 Pro models. These handsets are notable for being the first Apple phones to feature a USB Type-C port, replacing the proprietary Lightning connector. While details about RAM and battery capacities haven't been provided by Apple, additional information is expected to emerge from third-party sources in the coming weeks.
