TikTok Videos will now be Longer, up to 3 Minutes

TikTok said on Thursday that there will be a new option in the coming weeks that will let users upload a video longer than the 30seconds - 1 minutes limit, it can now be up to 3 minutes long.

TikTok is a popular social media being used by a lot of people worldwide, it allows users to create a fun video for up to 60 seconds with several social effects options as well as soundtracks pulled from a music library.

Recently, in a blog post he social media company said "Over the coming weeks, we'll be rolling out the option to create longer videos to everyone on TikTok, giving our global community the flexibility to film, upload, and edit videos up to three minutes in length directly within TikTok"

The short video limit on TikTok has made some companies add shorts on their social media like YouTube shorts, Facebook's Instagram launching short video clips known as Reels, and the Snapchat Spotlight feature that was rolled out last November 2020.

TikTok will roll out the new feature to all users "over the coming week." for Android and iOS users.
